Terms of service

These terms govern use of PicoLedger, a business accounting and administration service provided by PicoLedger. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them on behalf of yourself or the business you represent.

PicoLedger is intended for businesses and people acting for business purposes. If consumer law applies to you, nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

You must provide accurate information, protect sign-in details and keep authorised-user access up to date. You are responsible for activity under your account and for ensuring that information you enter or send through PicoLedger is lawful.

Business-plan roles may have different permissions. The workspace owner controls invitations and remains responsible for users they authorise.

Plan features, limits, billing period, price and applicable VAT are shown before checkout. Paid subscriptions renew until cancelled. Stripe processes subscription payments and provides billing receipts and account-management tools.

You may cancel through the billing portal. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid billing period unless applicable law requires otherwise. Failed or overdue payments may lead to retry attempts, restricted paid features or suspension after reasonable notice.

You retain ownership of business information you enter. You give us permission to host, copy, process and transmit it only as needed to provide and secure PicoLedger.

PicoLedger creates rolling application backups for recovery, but you should keep independent copies of records you are legally required to retain. Contact support promptly if you need recovery help. We cannot promise that every deleted or overwritten item can be restored.

PicoLedger is a record-keeping tool, not an accountant, tax adviser or legal adviser. Forecasts, VAT figures, reports and assistant responses depend on the information entered and may need professional review. You remain responsible for filings, payment deadlines and business decisions.

Do not use PicoLedger unlawfully, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with the service, upload malicious content, misuse payment or email features, or infringe another person’s rights. We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service or comply with law.

We aim to keep PicoLedger available and reliable, but maintenance, provider incidents or events outside our control may interrupt it. We may change features to improve security, comply with law or develop the service. Material changes affecting paid features will be communicated reasonably.

We do not exclude liability where it cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, PicoLedger is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss caused by inaccurate user data or reliance on unreviewed accounting outputs.

Any further cap or allocation of liability should be confirmed in the final commercial terms adopted by the legal operator before general paid launch.

You may stop using the service and cancel paid renewal at any time. We may end access for serious or repeated breach, non-payment, or legal and security reasons. England and Wales law governs these terms, subject to any mandatory rights that apply elsewhere.
